Standards

HEPA H13
HEPA, or "High Efficiency Particulate Air" is a standard that requires a filter to remove at least 99.97% of all particles 0.3 microns (micrometers) in diameter; for example: in 10,000 particles, only 3 particles may pass through the filter.

The H13 is the second highest HEPA rating and is considered to be medical-grade HEPA filtration.

UVC radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. UVC radiation has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of bacteria, such as tuberculosis. For this reason, UVC lamps are often called "germicidal" lamps. UVC radiation is commonly used inside air ducts to disinfect the air. This is the safest way to employ UVC radiation because direct UVC exposure to human skin or eyes may cause injuries, and installation of UVC within an air duct is less likely to cause exposure to skin and eyes.

Anionization
Air ionizers are "invisible air cleaners". They work by producing and releasing negative ions into the air. The negative ions attach (bond) to positively charged particles floating in the air creating heavy dirt particles. These heavy dirt particles are made up of bacteria, pollen, smoke, dust, and other allergens. These heavy dirt particles are forced to fall to the ground, thus keeping the air cleaner.

CADR
CADR or "Clean Air Delivery Rate" is an established standard endorsed by the FDA & EPA that measures the air cleaner's effectiveness based upon room size and the volume of clean air produced per minute.
