Overview
Power is the heart of every overland and camper build. Car Toys designs and installs auxiliary battery systems that run your fridge, lights, fans, heater and electronics while keeping the vehicle's starting battery protected.
We size the battery bank to your loads and how long you stay off-grid, then charge it from the alternator with a DC-to-DC charger, from solar panels and from shore power. Every circuit is fused, cables are sized for the current they carry, and a battery monitor shows you exactly how much power you have left.

Approve a written spec

For multi-vehicle orders we upfit one vehicle first and walk it with your team before the rest of the order is built to match.

Install, test and document
Every vehicle is installed to the manufacturers' instructions, tested system by system, and documented.

Deliver ready to work
Vehicles are returned on schedule with documentation, so they go straight into service.

Questions we hear often
How big of a battery do I need?
We add up your daily loads, such as a fridge, lights, fans and heater, and how many days you want without charging, then recommend a battery size.
Is lithium worth it?
Lithium batteries are lighter, deliver more usable capacity and recharge faster than AGM batteries. They cost more up front; we will help you compare.
Can you add solar later?
Yes. We plan the system so solar can be added without redoing the wiring.
