Overview
Crews need AC power on the job to charge batteries, run laptops, test equipment and small power tools. Car Toys installs power inverters sized for the loads you actually run, with heavy-gauge cable, proper fusing and outlets placed where your crew uses them.
For larger loads or long run times, we pair the inverter with an auxiliary battery, battery isolator or DC-to-DC charger and a low-voltage disconnect, so the vehicle's starting battery is protected. The result is dependable power at the job site without leaving engines idling all day.

Questions we hear often
What size inverter do we need?
It depends on what you run at the same time. We add up your loads, including startup surge for motors, and recommend an inverter and battery size.
Will an inverter drain the vehicle battery?
Not when it is installed correctly. We use low-voltage disconnects and, for larger systems, a separate auxiliary battery to protect the starting battery.
Can we reduce idling with an inverter?
Yes. An auxiliary battery and inverter system can power tools and electronics with the engine off, which cuts fuel use and engine hours.
