Overview
K9 units need a vehicle that keeps the dog safe, calm and ready to deploy. Car Toys Commercial installs aluminum K9 transport inserts, kennel partitions, remote door release systems and heat alarm and climate monitoring systems in patrol SUVs and pickups.
We plan the K9 insert alongside the rest of the patrol build, including partitions, lighting, rear storage and power, so the dog has the space it needs and the handler still has room for equipment. Door release and heat alarm systems are wired to the manufacturer's instructions and tested before delivery.

- Aluminum inserts with ventilated kennel doors, non-slip flooring and water bowls, made for your vehicle.
- Kennel partitions
- Front and rear partitions that separate the dog from the officer and from gear storage.
- Remote door release
- Handler-activated door poppers so the dog can deploy when the officer needs backup.
- Heat alarm and climate monitoring
- Systems that monitor cabin temperature and alert the handler if conditions become unsafe.
- Rear storage around the insert
- Storage for leashes, bite equipment and handler gear that fits around the kennel.

Can a K9 insert move to a new vehicle?
Many inserts are designed for a specific vehicle model. We can tell you whether yours can be transferred or whether a new insert is needed.
Do you install heat alarm systems?
Yes. We install and test heat alarm and climate monitoring systems that alert the handler and can lower windows, start fans or sound the horn, depending on the system.
Can you install a K9 setup in a pickup?
Yes. We install K9 systems in SUVs and pickups, including bed-mounted and cab-mounted options.
