The D is a result of Pioneer’s automotive loudspeaker engineering experience and expertise, combining advanced design techniques with highly developed manufacturing capabilities. Contoured from lightweight, resin-impregnated fibers of coated polyester fabric, the D tweeter delivers extended high-frequency performance. The 26mm diaphragm is very resistant to the harsh environmental conditions of the automotive interior (temperature, humidity, vibration, etc.), while maintaining its uniform hemispherical shape to reduce dome breakup due to excessive vibration at ultrasonic frequencies. The result is extremely low distortion levels and a smooth, natural sound. Aramid Fiber Interlaced Injection Molded Polypropylene (IMPP)
Polypropylene (PP) is a tough thermoplastic resin, ideal material for a speaker cone. The low mass and high damping of a PP cone generate good sensitivity and low distortion. However, polypropylene cones lack the rigidity and strength required for high output and extreme low bass. To resolve this, Pioneer engineers used advanced Computer-Aided Manufacturing to develop a process to blend aramid fibers into the polypropylene resin during the injection molding process. The resulting aramid fiber interlaced IMPP cone is ultra-thin and low mass with high rigidity and superior strength, built to produce natural, detailed sound with deep and powerful bass. More than any other speaker, the positioning and mounting location of the tweeter is crucial to the stereo imaging of the system and the overall listening experience. To ensure installation flexibility, the D component system tweeters are extremely compact and feature a unique swivel mount that allows precise aiming of high frequencies. Pioneer’s tri-position mounting kit (included) provides the flexibility to mount the tweeter using a variety of methods; flush mount, surface mount or bracket mount, especially important for concealing the tweeter behind an original equipment tweeter grille in the vehicle dash or door.

This receiver highlights a capacitive floating touchscreen display attached to a 1-DIN Chassis, allowing installation flexibility to ensure the best fit and usability for your vehicle’s dash. Access Apple CarPlay or Android Auto via a wireless or wired connection and take advantage of split screen mode to give you access to more on-screen information. With Light and Dark mode, its easier to see the screen when sunlight is being reflected in the car. Introducing new Light Mode for the Pioneer NEX interface! This mode will make the receiver screen much easier to see when sunlight is being reflected in the car. The receiver will automatically switch between light/dark mode at a set time, or when your vehicles headlights turn on/off. This can also be controlled manually.

Split-Screen Mode
If you’ve ever wanted to control two apps simultaneously when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, get excited for Pioneer’s Split-Screen mode. With Split-Screen mode you can simultaneously display and control both the Apple CarPlay -or Android Auto- UI and the receiver’s menu for your secondary source at the same time, on one screen. This function is useful when you want to access your music content (i.e. AM/FM Tuner or USB) while navigating through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto without having to toggle back and forth. Pioneer’s intuitive Split-Screen mode also allows different configurations you can switch between by tapping the switch key icon. Display your current or last app in full screen, view several apps in split-screen mode, customizable widget sizes for easy viewing, or view the home screen with access to all your apps. Split-Screen mode allows seamless operation for various functions on the same screen to personalize features and customize menu settings. The NEX in-dash receiver when interfaced with a Metra Axxess or iDataLink Maestro RR/RR2 module (sold separately) offers smart vehicle integration solutions to retain and control settings that would otherwise be lost after replacing the factory head unit, including HVAC functions, audio controls on the steering wheel, gauges, heated/cooled seats, visual parking assistance, and more, without fully exiting the Apple CarPlay UI.

Floating Display
The DMH-WT3800NEX floating display configuration allows a large display to be installed using a universal 1-DIN chassis. The floating screen offers horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustability to ensure the best fit and usability in the vehicle's dash.

When your DMH-WT3800NEX receiver is installed in a compatible vehicle using the iDatalink Maestro RR interface (sold separately), you’ll be able to enjoy the performance and features of the DMH-WT3800NEX receiver plus touchscreen control over key factory audio features.  Metra Axxess
The Metra Axxess Data Interface (sold separately) allows retaining and adjustments of your personalized features and customized menu settings through the DMH-WT3800NEX receiver. The Metra Axxess Data Interface with plug-n-play harness allows vehicle information and customized settings to be displayed on the DMH-WT3800NEX. Interfacing with the Metra Axxess offers smart vehicle integration solutions to retain and control settings that would otherwise be lost after replacing the factory head unit, including HVAC functions, audio controls on the steering wheel, gauges, and more.

Back Up Camera Input Ready*
Back Up Camera input enables you to add a rear-view camera, with the system automatically switching to a full-screen image of the rear view when the car is placed in reverse gear. The full-screen image returns to the source screen last in use when the vehicle is taken out of reverse gear. *Rear visibility systems (backup cameras) are required under federal regulations in certain new vehicles according to a phase-in schedule that began on May 1, 2016. Owners of vehicles equipped with compliant rear visibility systems should not install or use this product in a way that alters or disables that system’s compliance with applicable regulations. If you are unsure whether your vehicle has a rear visibility system subject to these regulations, please contact the vehicle manufacturer or dealer.

Second Camera Input
The DMH-WT3800NEX has an additional input where you can add a second camera. The second camera view can be activated at any time and has many potential uses including monitoring a tow vehicle, providing a side view for better lane visibility. Downloading the latest firmware allows the camera to show inverse perspective mapping for additional installation flexibility. This feature comes in handy when positioning a second camera on another area of the vehicle for a mirror imaging perspective from left to right.

Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming
Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the DMH-WT3800NEX without having to go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units. From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming (A2DP) with artist, album, and song search*, simple pairing, and control audio (AVRCP profile), Bluetooth® wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient. The DMH-WT3800NEX with Bluetooth also includes superior call quality reception using Wideband Speech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Wideband Speech nearly doubles the bandwidth of frequencies of a normal Bluetooth call (when compared to calls without Wideband Speech)**. Overview

Installation and Sound to Suit Any Car Our TS-G1620F speakers are excellent choices to replace a bad set of factory 6-1/2" speakers. Their two-way design handles 300 watts max. power (40 watts nominal) and features Pioneer’s extremely strong and lightweight Injected Molded Polypropylene™ (IMPP) Composite Cone Woofer for improved sensitivity and reduced distortion.
You don't get just basic, run-of-the-mill features either. The conex damper delivers higher power handling and deeper bass, and the 1-3/16" Balanced dome tweeter reproduces highs with great performance and musicality. Progressive Flex Suspension System supports the voice coil effectively by dampening the large cone vibration and enhancing linearity of sound reproduction.
