Searching for items
Want to buy a specific product/model? Simply enter that item's name (ex: "Kenwood MP3 Player") or model number (ex: "KDC-MP625") in the "search" box located at the top of every page of our site. Click the "Find It" button and we'll then list all products related to your search criteria.

If your initial search results are too broad, try adding a word to narrow down the results (ex: to find camera phones by Motorola, instead of just entering "Motorola," try entering "Motorola Camera"). Conversely, if the results are too narrow, try using only one key word in your search, or even just a part of the word (ex: instead of "wattage" try "watt").

Browsing for items
Want to check everything we have to offer? Then simply browse by category. On the left-hand side of our site, simply click on the category you wish to browse (ex: "Car Audio"), and, then any subcategories within that category (ex: "Amplifiers"). From there, we'll display every product we offer for that category/subcategory for you to view and purchase.

From Pioneer to MTX to Nokia… If you have a favorite brand of mobile electronics or wireless phones that you love, you can find and browse every product we offer by that manufacturer by simply selecting the brand name from the "Shop by Brand" box located on the left-hand side of every page of our site.

Adding/Removing Items in your Basket
Adding an Item
When you find an item that you wish to purchase, simply click the red "buy" button located next to the item. You'll then be taken to your basket where the item will be listed-along with any optional service protection plans or related accessories you might also wish to purchase. Then continue shopping or checkout.
Note: If shopping for a non-prepaid wireless phone, we'll first ask that you select a compatible rate plan for it - and vice versa. Once both a phone and plan are chose, you may then add them to your basket.

Removing an Item
Go to the basket page (by clicking on the "checkout" button located at the top right of almost every page), then check the "remove" box next to the item you wish to take out of your basket. Click "update" and the page will refresh with the item removed.

Buying Wireless Phones/Plans
Prepaid Phones
If looking for a phone that uses "pay as you go" minutes and requires no monthly contract, just click "prepaid Wireless" on the left-hand toolbar, select your phone and add to your basket. Then checkout and you're done.

Monthly Contract Phones
To ensure that you get a great wireless plan with this type of phone, we ask that you select and sign up for a rate plan with your phone purchase (we currently do not sell "monthly contract" phones separately).

To find the perfect phone & plan, we offer you multiple searching choices, located on the left-hand toolbar of most pages. You can search all phones, all plans, or search individual carriers to help you find just what you need. Or if you want a specific phone, you can enter the name in the search field at the top of every page.

When you find a great phone, we'll then automatically take you through selecting a rate plan for that phone…and vice versa. Then when both a phone and plan (and all options) have been selected, simply click the "Add to Shopping Cart" button to checkout.

Will It Fit My Car?
Car Toys makes it easy to find out if that in-dash receiver or other component will fit in your car…before you buy. Simply click the Fit Guide button in the upper left of most pages to select the car's make and model that you're shopping for.

Then, when you browse our site, we'll display "Perfect Fit", "Adjust to Fit", "Custom Fit" or "No Info" buttons next to products to let you know which will fit as is, which will require a special harness or installation kit, or which should be taken to a neighborhood Car Toys retail location for custom installation.

Changing your Password/Profile
Change is inevitable… and that's why we make it easy for you to change your password or profile at any time.

To change your password
  1. Sign in and go to the My Car Toys section.
  2. Click on "Password Settings."
  3. Enter your current password, the password you want to change it to, and then re-enter your new password.
  4. Click "Update" to save your new password.

To change your profile
  1. Sign in and go to the My Car Toys section.
  2. Click on "Change Billing Information."
  3. Change your address, phone number, name, and/or email.
  4. Click "Update Info" to save your new information.

Adding/Sending Wish Lists
Can't afford that in-car theater yet? Need to send some hints for your birthday? Then our Wish List is just the thing for you.

Can't afford that in-car DVD yet? Need to send some hints for your birthday? Then our Wish List is just the thing for you.

To use our Wish List, you must be registered with CarToys.com so that we can remember and store all the items you've added. Once registered, just click the "Add to Wish" button next to any product.

To view your list, log in and click "My Car Toys" (located at the top of the page) and then click "Wish List Manager". There you can add items to your basket for checkout, remove them, or email your entire list to a friend.

Requesting a Price Match
Found a lower price? It’s easy to take advantage of our Price Guard Online service.

Every product page at CarToys.com has a link on the left side that gives you access to a simple price match request form. Just fill in the form and hit submit. We’ll respond as quickly as possible. Or, call us toll free during business hours for even faster service.

Car Toys Online will consider matching any online, delivered price for identical, in-stock products. We’re happy to match legitimate prices when we can. Price Guard Online is a service we offer to Car Toys’ online customers, but it IS NOT A GUARANTEE TO MATCH all prices from all sellers. We may choose not to match prices in some instances…you’ll find more details when you fill out our price match request form.

How to Checkout
Ready to take advantage of our low prices on the widest wireless and mobile electronic selection on the Web?

It only takes 4 easy steps to checkout.

Step 1: Add items to your basket. When you've got everything you need, view your basket and then press the "Checkout" button.

Step 2: If not already logged in with us, enter your email address, billing address, shipping address, and credit card information.

Note: Currently, we cannot ship to any address other than your billing address unless you have called your credit card company and designated that address as an authorized address.

Step 3: Review your information, ensuring the addresses are correct as well as the contents of your order. If everything looks good, click the "place order" button.

Step 4: You're done! Print the receipt for your records

We'll send you a confirmation email when your order is received. If you selected to ship your order, we'll also contact you by email when the order is on its way. You can always check the status of your order in the "check order status" section of My Car Toys.

We display product availability right on our product pages, letting you know instantly whether or not that product is available to be shipped out to you.

But we also go one step further…

We'll even let you know if the item is in-stock and available for pickup at a nearby Car Toys retail location. Simply click Find Our Stores,
find and select one or more stores near you, then shop as usual. We'll display whether that item is in-stock or not at your selected stores.

Note: even if an item is not in stock at the retail location near you, you can still choose to pick it up there - our stores will work round the clock to get the item stocked and notify you when it is.

Get Your Package In Time For Christmas

  • Purchase by 10am on Dec. 16th and get it delivered before or on Dec. 24th with Ground or 3-Day Shipping.
  • Purchase by 2pm on Dec. 22nd and get it delivered before or on Dec. 24th with 2nd day air.
  • Purchase by 2pm on Dec.23nd and get it delivered on or before Dec. 24th with next day air.

ORDER APPROVAL and ERRORS in Product Pricing
Fulfillment of all orders is subject to approval by Car Toys.   The successful submission of an order via the Car Toys web site is not a contract to sell products or services.   Car Toys is not responsible for errors in product pricing that may appear on the web site.

Shipped Orders
CarToys.com currently ships via UPS to anywhere in the United States. Typical orders will take 3 to 5 days to arrive - unless "2nd day" or "Next Day" delivery has been specified. Please note that UPS cannot delivery to P.O. Boxes. Sales tax will be added where applicable by law.

Once shipped, orders may be tracked using the UPS website. Just go to: http://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html and enter your order's tracking number that you received on your shipment confirmation email.

In-Store Pickup Option
For the fastest, cheapest, and most convenient way for Car Toys customers to receive their product, we offer In-Store Pickup.

If you live in a Car Toys market, you can avoid all shipping and handling charges by selecting to pickup your purchase at any of our nearby store locations - sometimes that very same day!

To take advantage of this option:
  1. Click Find Our Stores in the top navigation bar.
  2. Find and select one or more stores near you.
  3. Browse and add items to your basket - we'll let you know if each item is currently in-stock at your preferred stores.
  4. Checkout and choose the "in-store pickup" option.

Return Policy Our Guarantee:  If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase from Car Toys, you may return most merchandise within 14 days of the original purchase date.  You may receive a full refund or in-house credit good for any future purchase.  In order to receive this full refund* or in-house credit, we require that the returned merchandise be in complete and original condition.  You may exchange most merchandise within 14 days of the original purchase.

Plus, we even offer you the opportunity to return the merchandise to any nearby Car Toys retail location (find a store near you). Simply bring the item and its packing list/receipt with you and we’ll take care of the rest.

GPS Navigation Units, Radar Detectors, Portable Video Products & Performance Accessories:
Products in resellable condition, with box, packing materials and all the accessories may be returned for credit or refund within 14 days of purchase. Products purchased at a Car Toys store must be returned to a Car Toys retail location within 5 days of purchase OR, if purchased online, contact CarToys.com at 1-800-997-3644 within 7 days of receiving your order to request a return authorization. To help prevent fraud and abuse, we must receive the unit at Car Toys within 7 days of notification or else your refund will not be processed.

Return Policy for Refurbished TomTom GPS Units
Any refurbished TomTom unit has been road-tested by TomTom and comes with a 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty. If the unit arrives damaged or defective, you must contact TomTom directly for repair/replacement (866-486-6866). If you wish to return a non-defective unit for a refund, you must call CarToys.com at 1-800-997-3644 within 5 days of receipt of the unit. Unit must then be received at Car Toys within 7 days of notification or else refund will not be processed.

In order to receive a full refund for your purchase, the returned merchandise must be in original condition and not installed.  A restocking fee of at least 25% will be charged for merchandise returned with missing parts or without original packaging.

Non-Returnable Merchandise:
  1. Special orders may not be returned.  Due to the special nature of ordering non-stocked merchandise, special orders may not be returned for refund or credit.  Special orders are covered under the manufacturer's warranty.  Deposits for special orders that we are unable to cancel are not refundable.
  2. Labor may not be returned.
  3. Insurance Replacement merchandise is not returnable.  This includes replacement dashes/bezels, ashtrays, armrests, special painting, glass repair, etc.
*Refunds: Refund check(s) will be processed and mailed after approximately 14 working days.  All refunds which were originally paid in the form of cash or check are in the form of check; cash refunds from the store are not authorized for amounts over $50.  If the purchase was paid by credit card or was financed, the appropriate account will be credited.

Return Policy for Cingular Wireless
All wireless phone purchases must be returned with box, manual, and accessories within 30 days for credit to be issued. After the initial 30 days, we will assist you in calling Cingular Customer Care and arranging for an exchange. All Cingular Wireless phone purchases require a new number activation with Cingular Wireless service for a minimum of one year on selected consumer rate plans at time of purchase.

Return Policy for Verizon Wireless
All wireless phone purchases must be returned with box, manual and accessories within 14 days or the specified minute limits for the make of your phone for credit to be issued.
(Motorola = 90 minutes, Nokia = 60 minutes, Qualcomm = 15 hours)
After the initial 14 days or minute limits have been exceeded, we will assist you in calling Verizon Customer Care and arranging for an exchange. All VERIZON Wireless phone purchases require a new number activation with VERIZON wireless service for a minimun of one year on selected consumer rate plans at the time of purchase.

Return Policy for T-Mobile
14 days - No Questions Asked.
All wireless phone purchases must be returned with box, manual and accessories.

30 days - Defective Exchange Only
Full refund or exchange providing the phone, all accessories, all packaging and the box are present.

31 days to 1 year
Customers must utilize T-Mobile's Customer Care for service exchange.

Wireless Credit Checks
When you purchase a wireless service plan, you are in essence asking that service provider to extend a line of credit to you. Therefore, much like when applying for a credit card, we are required to run a credit check to evaluate your credit. And the only way to ensure the accuracy of this credit check is to ask for your social security number, driver's license number, and other personal information.

Please rest assured that all information you submit is encrypted by our secure server so that your private information will remain just that… private. CarToys.com will NOT share this information with third parties.

Wireless Cancellation
When you purchase a wireless plan, you're in essence purchasing that plan from a wireless service provider (such as Verizon Wireless or T-Mobile) - Car Toys is merely conducting the transaction on behalf of that provider.

Therefore, because we do not have access to your wireless account, you must contact the Service Provider directly if you wish to change or cancel your wireless plan. Car Toys cannot change or cancel the service for you. Usage and/or early termination fees may apply from the carrier. If canceled before six months from activation, please contact our store or customer service center (1-800-366-9644) to return your phone and/or equipment, otherwise you may be subject to a $300 early cancellation fee from Car Toys.
