Very difficult to use and does not work well with sirius radio. You must push three buttons to even get to main menu. Highly suggest another deck. Mike Grants Pass, OR
Just picked one of these up today. Has a bit of a learning curb like others have mentioned, but so far it KILLS the 2009 pioneer deh-p510ub that I used to have. Lots of settings to dial in that perfect sound. Clean, quality sound. As long as you can spare some patients to learn how to use it, its definately worth while. AD WA
I was given this Kenwood KDC-X693 as a gift for my birthday recently (actually bought from this site too), and it has been an excellent head unit. Perfect sound, awesome colors and good functionality. I loaded up my little 1GB flash drive with over 100 songs from iTunes and they play perfectly connected to the rear USB input. Also, the USB drive only takes a few seconds to initiate, about as long as a regular cd and you can also flip through folders and artists which is great. The controls do take a little while to get used to, but with todays head units, that is what's to be expected with so few buttons to use. After a day or so of getting used to the unit though, the controls should feel natural. The only negative thing about this Kenwood I can think of, and you'll probably hear this a lot, is that the face is made with too much gloss and it reflects glare easily during the day, making it hard to read what's on the screen. Take it for a spin at night though and this head unit really shines. The colors are amazing and the screen is very readable. All in all, I give this stereo 5 stars because of its features, price, USB input, colors, and I would recommend it to anyone. Steven W Modesto, CA
