I bought this radio for my daughters 2001 Toyota Echo mostly for the hands free cell phone function. The external mic is hardly noticible above the mirror as installed by the Car Toys staff. In my opinion, the phone connection is as clear as a standard land line. No obnoxious echo or tin can sound or backround noise. The ability to change the color of the display and keys is also a nice personalization feature. The key functions are easier to navigate than other major brands I looked at. I'm so pleased with the unit that I'm buying a second one for my wifes car. Tim Abrahamson Seattle, WA
